Correction of Nomination Results, Existing Competition Results, and Adjustments to Subsequent Schedules for the Nova Division

The staff received an appeal earlier, stating that there were concerns regarding the eligibility of some participants in the Nova Division.

After verification, it was confirmed that due to missing information about the relevant animated works collected during the voting period, the eligibility of some participants in the following competitions needs to be corrected.

A. Male Nova Division Spring Split:

1. Emiya Kiritsugu @Fate Series - Disqualified

- Original Judgment: The character was deemed eligible for the Male Nova Division Spring Split based on the airing of the web anime “Fate/Grand Order: Fujimaru Ritsuka Doesn’t Get It” from February 4, 2023, to July 30, 2023.

- Correction: The cumulative airing time of “Fate/Grand Order: Fujimaru Ritsuka Doesn’t Get It” during the qualification period (April 1 to June 30, 2023) was 34 minutes, with the longest continuous segment being 3 minutes, which does not meet the 2023 tournament rule of at least 20 minutes of continuous airing or 40 minutes of cumulative airing. Hence, no character can qualify for the Male Nova Division Spring Split through this anime.

2. Vegeta @Dragon Ball - Disqualified

- Original Judgment: The character was deemed eligible for the Male Nova Division Spring Split based on the airing of “Super Dragon Ball Heroes” from July 1, 2018, to August 8, 2024.

3. Yang Wenli @Legend of the Galactic Heroes - Qualified

- Correction: The character appeared in the “Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These” Blu-ray edition released on April 26, 2023. With the disqualification of the other two characters, Yang Wenli, the highest non-qualifying nominee, is now eligible to participate.

4. Hashibira Inosuke @Kimetsu no Yaiba - Qualified

- Correction: Originally disqualified due to a limitation on the number of participants from the same series. However, with the disqualification of the two aforementioned characters, Hashibira Inosuke is now eligible.

B. Male Nova Division Autumn Split:

1. Lancer(Cú Chulainn) @Fate Series - Qualified

- Correction: This character should qualify for the Male Nova Division Autumn Split through the special episode “Fate/Grand Order: Fujimaru Ritsuka Doesn’t Get It - 2023 End of the Year Special”, aired on December 31, 2023.

3. Minami Yume @SSSS.DYNAZENON - Disqualified

- Original Judgment: The character shared eligibility with Rikka Takarada from the movie “Gridman Universe” based on its Blu-ray/DVD release on October 25, 2023.

- Correction: After the two “Fate Series” characters qualified, the character limit for “Gridman Universe” was reached, resulting in Yume's disqualification.

Due to these corrections, the following actions will be taken:

1. The nomination results will be corrected based on the adjusted eligibility.

2. The results of the preliminary and group stages of the Female Nova Division Winter Split, Female Nova Division Autumn Split, and Male Nova Division Autumn Split up to the end of the second round are invalidated. The completed matches will be recorded as exhibition matches in the tournament database.

3. The Female Nova Division Winter Split, Female Nova Division Autumn Split, and Male Nova Division Autumn Split will be replayed starting from the preliminary rounds.

4. In the Male Nova Division Autumn Split, the participant Lancer (Cú Chulainn) will compete in a playoff match with Portgas D. Ace and Inumaki Toge for two spots in the group stage. If Lancer (Cú Chulainn) advances, his seeding will be determined based on his performance in this match.
